Description: Wooden finger type sign post with raised lettering which reads 'Provision Depot 3 Miles'. Recovered from Port Ross, Auckland Island. The sign was erected by the New Zealand Government to point the way to the food and clothing depot for shipwrecked sailors at Port Ross.
